The Patient Journey

The Patient Journey at MCRM

Exploring options for fertility is one of the most important life journeys you can take. It can be daunting, confusing, and stressful, but rest assured, all of us at MCRM Fertility are here for you to make your fertility journey easier in every way.

What does the patient journey look like?

Making the first call

When you contact us to make a new patient appointment, you’ll communicate with one of our patient advocates. They’ll assist you through the process of scheduling an initial consultation with one of our specialists.
1

Complete Important Health History and Documents in the Patient Portal

Once you’ve scheduled your initial consultation, you’ll receive an email explaining how to connect to MCRM’s Patient Portal.
2

New Patient Consult

At your first appointment, you’ll meet with one of our specialists. Here we get to know you by discussing your history and goals, and begin to develop a plan for your family building history.
5

Meet with our financial team

After your consultation, you’ll have a chance to meet with a financial counselor and take an initial look at the costs associated with diagnostics and/or the treatment plan recommended by your physician.
7

Testing

Diagnostics and testing are an important step in the fertility journey. Some patients will have already completed their tests by the time they see the doctor. If tests have been completed prior to the visit, your doctor will have reviewed your results and will be able to discuss recommendations and options based on those results. If you haven’t completed any diagnostic tests prior to your consult, your doctor can arrange for both female and male diagnostic tests to be done, followed by a follow-up consultation to explore and develop a treatment plan.
6

Treatment

Once you and your physician have determined your best path to parenthood, you will be assigned a fertility coach who will be your guide and resource throughout your treatment process.
8

We recognize that deciding to explore fertility treatments is a big step. If you’d like to talk through your questions before you set up a consultation, our patient support team will be happy to chat with you by phone.
