Long chain Omega 3 Fatty Acid intake — specifically intake of DHA (dosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid)— have been previously associated with health benefits including fertility. A Harvard study published this month in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology examined the association of men and women’s intake of omega 3 fatty acids with outcomes of fertility treatment. It found that higher omega 3 fatty acid intake was associated with lower risk of pregnancy loss and higher sperm counts. #YouAreWhatYouEat #EatYourSalmon
