Infertility Awareness Day at the Ballpark 2018

The second annual Infertility Awareness Day at the Ballpark commenced on Sunday, April 22, 2018 as a kick-off event to National Infertility Awareness Week in St. Louis, Missouri. Nearly 250 participants took part at Busch Stadium. The weather, in general, held out for most of the game with only a few sprinkles from time-to-time and cool temperatures. The day began with MCRM Fertility hosting an informational booth in Ford Plaza which helped share information regarding the impact infertility has on the population of the United States. This was a great opportunity to meet many individuals from across the region including those that are both currently traveling down the road of infertility and those that have previously traversed the difficult journey.

Prior to the start of the game, the attendees of the stadium were introduced to National Infertility Awareness Week through a pregame ceremony and ceremonial first pitch; this year, thrown out by an IVF child himself, Alex Bader. The special guests in attendance for the pregame ceremony included:

Additionally, our friends from Focus on Fertility were also in attendance and they recorded this week’s podcast on location.  Be sure to take a listen.
